Yes. Both windows refresh and the weekly reset date moves.
A banked reset is saved in your account until you use it or it expires (promotional ones within 30 days unless the offer says otherwise). Using it refreshes the 5-hour and weekly windows; the new weekly period starts with your first request afterwards, and the next automatic reset is 7 days after that. It is consumed only if it actually refreshes at least one window. An automatic or global reset is applied directly and is not saved. No reset raises your plan's limits.

Using a full banked reset refreshes your 5-hour and weekly Codex usage windows and changes your weekly reset date. No reset cards exist. An announced reset clears usage; the new times are in Settings › Usage.
Anthropic resets are announced (for example for all subscribers on 2026-04-23) and applied directly. Anthropic does not document how the session or weekly reset time moves afterwards; Claude Code drops a window once its reset time passes and shows the new one under /usage. Usage credits do not change reset timing.
